No Outro Lado do Tempo
Been writing the outro lyrics for this special song, No Outro Lado do Tempo, it’s the outro melody and lyrics that I’ve been trying to reach for months. And in full lyrics greatest time ever my soul could sing portuguese with nuances from Portugal… something about essence and maybe ancestors.
First curious fact. I tried three times to write on the paper “There’s in time a path / To the eternal now”, but in all of them I distracted myself and wrote “There’s in life a path / To the eternal now”. Maybe the word time is meaningful on the verse “There’s in life a land / That gratifies you”, replacing life… let’s see what I sing in the final studio version.
Second curious fact. The word Outro exists in both english and portuguese languages; in the title of the song, which is portuguese, it means “other”, but the Outro of the melody that I refered is the ending part of the structure of the song; many brazilian songwriters don’t know this term and refers to the Outro of their songs as a Bridge, which isn’t the same thing… guess even northamerican and british musicians sometimes do the same, but not so frequently.
It’s all that came this night 🎼

There’s in life a path
To the eternal now
In your mind a port
That hides the pier
There’s in life a land
That gratifies you
May God find you
If you don’t find yourself anymore
